OMAN – As seen by me..

Emerald waters cool and soothe, the sun scorched sands on the shore,
While sea-gulls in their quest for fish, keen eyed, they swoop and soar,

Craggy knolls seem to rear their heads, challenging the cerulean skies,
Massive mounds of russet stone, like bronzed Goliaths in their guise

The golden orb like a boat sets sail, in a sky of cloudy waves,
Till parched and spent, a wet torrent, is what the baked earth craves,

Dusty wadis speckled with leaves, snake through the city in wait,
Till soothing, quenching, showers paint, the land in myriad shades

Azure pools, like the stone of Lazhward, mirror the dappled sky
As cloudy specks in cotton like flecks, soar languidly by

Jade green foliage flirts with the breeze, bordering the ribbon like roads
Where iron steeds at supernal speeds, transport their human loads.

Burnished marble gleams in the day, framing the royal crest
Crimson sun sets fire to the sky, while descending in the west

Age old charming structures stand, Silhouetted tall, proud, unmarred,
The majestic lines of the minarets merge, with the chrome and glass facade

The city is garbed in cream and white, as far as the eyes perceive
Where glorious tradition and modern thought, merge in a flawless weave,

Tranquil and Serene, of harmonious mien, so resplendent this land,
Each hue so fine, from a Palette divine, painted by Gods own hand.
